Kimberly-Clark Global Mobility Game

PowerPoint Game Design

Interactive Game Teaches Process for International Work

The Challenge

Create an interactive quiz game that can be controlled from a tablet and projected on-screen for a large audience.

The Solution

Graphic Ardt & Design, Inc. used PowerPoint animations to build an engaging Q&A game from HR's educational materials.

Kimberly-Clark regularly sends employees to work overseas. Those employees need to follow specific procedures outlined by HR’s Global Mobility office. In order to help groups understand and remember the process better, the company requested a quiz game that could be presented to meetings of potential candidates.  Read more.

Animations Build in Navigation Control

International employment can be a challenge, with a number of detailed steps to complete by those interested. Understanding the process can be a dry task… unless you make it a game, more engaging to participate in and easier to present by the Global Mobility division of HR.

In the Global Mobility Game, on-screen zones to swipe or tap allowed the presenter to move the game forward, while animations added to the entertainment value of the game. A game piece measured progress, moving from one numbered location to the next on the “game board”; a wrong answer sent the players back to discuss the topic more; and game completion was celebrated with a quick fireworks display. This game, created entirely in PowerPoint, helped candidates learn pivotal parts of international relocation in an entertaining way.

Kimberly-Clark Videos Promote Employee Engagement

The Challenge

Videos promoting new internal initiatives needed to be stimulating and exciting while maintaining the existing employer branding style.

The Solution

Graphic Ardt & Design, Inc. created new "sketch"-style illustrations, setting them in motion with music to create numerous promo videos.

Kimberly-Clark’s employer branding efforts began with “Unleash Your Power”, a campaign based on the doodles people might playfully draw during meetings. As the campaign grew, illustrations became more involved while retaining their “sketch” style. Videos to open HR conferences and other meetings were a necessity to quickly introduce new initiatives before leadership delved deeper into the topics. Watch the videos below.

The “Unleash Your Power” employer branding campaign ran from 2012-2016, promoting easier ways for Kimberly-Clark’s global workforce to engage with personnel, from bottom to top. Leadership Conferences, HR Summits, and CEO Forums, as well as departmental communications, benefitted from these personable, dynamic videos.
